The Camel Festival Tour - BMT 6/1

The Camel Festival Tour is the world’s largest camel race with over 1000 camels participating in. It’s not only the race, but also the games, contests, shows and fairs that truly make the Camel Festival. The jolly and boisterous mood would surely be worthy of the bitter cold.

Duration: 6 days & 5 nights
Starting time: From 4th of March to 9th of March
Availability: From 4th of March to 9th of March
Tour code: BMT 6/1
Tour cost: from $500 USA

Despite the dreary winter days, the festival never loses its aglow. Starting from a camel parade, it offers you a number of events, including the camel polo, exhibitions of handicrafts, camel milk and dairy products, a relay with camels, Ice-Shagai game, calf race, camel museum and performances. You can also visit a camel herding family, ride on camelbacks, participate in the parade or make bets on the races. The Camel Festival first started with a purpose of breeding, protecting and increasing the productivity of camels in 1997 and was held annually thereafter. It broke the Guinness World Records in 2016 with over 1000 camels participating in. The festival is held from 6th to 7th of March in Bulgan Soum of Umnugovi Province, located 560 km away from Ulaanbaatar.
